He will still do it but I don't think he advertises himself as a Pawn shop anymore. I had to get a small loan on my SP101 a few months back.

But as far as I know, he only does Guns and gold.
He's not going to give you a loan on your musical instruments or video games. |

Have not heard of Sovereign moving to Fuquay.Would be kind of surprised now that he has his place somewhat organized.Would'nt want to compete with Clay either.Kind of hard to do.
Clay will allow you to Pawn(for a loan) on a gun but nothing else.Guns and gold in one form or another. That is it to my knowledge.

I heard them talking about the move while I was in the shop. Apparently the new shop is alot bigger, so they will be able take more of the inventory out of the warehouse and actually feature it in the shop.

Went there for the first time yesterday, have to say, they've got a lot of inventory to choose from. My first stop for anything firearm related moving forward.

I'm amazed, in the current state of the economy, that a seller of commercial property has a single buyer even, let alone bidding between prospective buyers going on! Theres a few storefronts available for rent right there abouts......

I've known the Pittman's that own Cooley's for quite some time and I know they're not anti-gun. Dave is more of a classic car person, but he does like guns as well.

Odd... the new location has their sign on the front entrance and it looks like they've been doing quite a bit of work on the inside.

Someone on another site mentioned a parking concern. I actually just paved my parking lot and I have enough parking lot for 23 cars and trucks not to mention about 12 more on the street and the gravel lot next door to my asphalt will hold about 50 more and it is never used except town events. This will actually give us more available parking than we have now. Another has brought up the Pawn thing,, I do have and will continue to have a Pawn license this allows me to do more with firearms than a standard dealer is allowed per ATF regs. I will loan you money on your guns or gold but nothing more this is why we changed the name from Fuquay Jewelry & Pawn to Fuquay Gun & Gold. I have purchased new displays and racks to make the new store more appealing and try to leave the pawn stigma in the dust. I did buy this building and even with all the upgrades overhead has actually went down significantly and this will be reflected in some of our already low prices will become lower.. All contract work was done by customer owned business, we always try to spend our $ with our customers when possible! We are very grateful for the support and kind words all of our customers have given us and we know our success tomorrow is based on service and pricing today and we fully intend to give you the best service and pricing possible. I do not do the posting thing however don’t think I don’t read what is posted I am very interest in what all of you think and it is used in my daily decision making in how my business is run. Most importantly Thank Yall for the business!! We Appreciate You!! From our old location parking lot Right on Wake chapel Right on Main Street go straight through 2 stop lights and we will be on the right across from Cooley’s (You will not be able to miss the 6' x 4' Glock on both front corners of the building) 330 South Main St |

Hi all, this is Kiran of Sovereign Guns. I am very glad Clay is doing well and moving to a bigger location. I think our two stores so close together will bring in new customers to the area and should be beneficial for the whole community. It has been a busy year for us since we opened the store in Angier 10 months ago. I am in the process of buying the old furniture store across from the police station and look forward to having the space to display more of my inventory. My current location is only 2000sf and the new building is 12,000sf. This will give us far more retail space, even with the indoor range. Anyone who has visited my store will know how cramped we are now. We only have room up front to display approximately 400 guns but usually have about 2,000 in stock at anytime, so most are boxed up in our back rooms. Our website and other online sales have been phenomenal this year due to our great prices and great customer service. We have quickly become one of the nation's largest online retailers. We are excited to be able to continue serving our loyal customers, both on www.sovereignguns.com and in our new Fuquay location.

I must give kudos to Sovereign Guns, nobody else seems to have as many milsurps and Curio and Relic firearms. Modern guns do not appeal to me as much, so it is fantastic to have a local shop with so much variety. And I will attest to the great prices there, it has become the first place I go to shop for something different. I bought 3 guns from them in the last 4 months and as soon as the feds give me my tax refund, they will definitly see me again. Keep up the good job.

Well, I must say I was curious, so I visited Sovereign Guns a few weeks ago. First off, I nearly tripped over toys on the floor entering the store. My wife and I then had the pleasure of listening to a young child cry. There were two younger women there attending the shop, neither asked if we wanted anything, they were too busy trying to give commands to the doberman. Prices seemed fair, but personally I wasn't much in favor of the environment that day.

I think you caught them on a bad day, sometimes they are a little preoccupied, but most of the times I have been there they were friendly and knowledgeable. Though Sergent (the dog) can be a little difficult, I think they said he was pretty young. Though I am glad they got the machine gun with tripod out of there, 'bout busted my tail a couple of times tripping over that thing. LOL

Clay and Missy's new shop is great, has a better location for drive by traffic and is in a good area of town. As for their "Other competitors" when my wife got started in shooting we "Visited" another local gunshop north of Fuquay and immediately got a cold reception on questions and gun issues. Needless to say that same gun shop has lost over $15,000 - $20,000 of our business. Clay and crew take care of their customers; what you would expect from any good business. Way to go. Willy and Flaglady.
